New school in Hadsel with a strong environmental profile - and Norsk Stål.
Norsk Stål has delivered beams and hollow profiles to new Hadsel High School and technical school, through our customer PEAB Bjørn Bygg. The school has now received a strong environmental profile, as the builders of Nordland County Council have consciously focused on the environment in the project. We are very proud of our contribution to creating a school for the future!
Previously, the school consisted of three different buildings. Two of the buildings have or will be demolished, while the last buildings have been thoroughly rehabilitated. Rehabilitation includes: new facade windows, and both a structural and technical upgrade. In addition, a whole new building has been set up in solid wood, covering a total of 3000 m2. Here, it has also been important to have steel nodes, which can be quickly designed and manufactured. Norsk Stål has delivered this.
The school will also have its own solar cell facility, which means that as much as 35% of the school's energy needs will be covered with their own green energy. This we cheer for!
The entire project will be completed during 2020.
